This section presents the results of more than a century of research and archaeological excavations in Quercy.

It covers 350,000 years of human occupation, from the earliest appearance of pre-Neanderthal people until the Iron Age, a few centuries before our era.

With a selection of 1000 objects, the exhibition sets out the principal stages in the evolution of human cultures, of the way people lived and made tools, weapons and personal ornaments in the Quercy region.
