Who are we ?

The Commune of Cabrerets, canton of Lauzès, Lot département, is the proprietor of the land, the caves, the museum building and a large part of the museum’s collections.

The Commune manages the Pech Merle site itself, via the intermediary of an unincorporated municipal managerial service with financial autonomy.

The President of the Managerial Service is Dominique Segond, the Mayor of Cabrerets ; the Director is Serge Roussel.

The management of the cave is entirely financed by the entry receipts ; i.e. by visitors themselves. This covers all the classic management costs : personnel, electricity, materials and cleaning products, insurance, telephone, etc….
